80s Trivia
This is a fun game to play virtually with friends (over Teams, Skype, Zoom, etc). The game is created in PowerPoint and comes ready to use. Just download the file, share your screen in your video chat, open the PowerPoint file in presentation mode and you’re good to go. Here are the rules:
Designate a host to share screen, operate the PowerPoint and keep score
Each player takes turns choosing a box (I generally go in alphabetical order, but any random order works)
The boxes on the Trivia Board slide are clickable and link to the corresponding slide. There’s a link on the question slide that navigates to the answer, and a link on the answer slide to navigate back to the Board.
If the player answers the question right, they’re awarded the number of points the question is worth (to add a drinking element, the player can then pass out those seconds for one of the other players to drink)
If the player answers the question wrong, they’re deducted the number of points the question is worth (to add a drinking element, the player then has to drink those seconds)
Only the player whose turn it is can answer the question
After a players turn is up, it goes on to the next player to choose a box regardless of whether they’ve answered the question correctly
Towards the end of the game, if there are fewer boxes left than there are number of players, determine which players have the highest score and have each select one more box keeping the same order established at the beginning of the game
Player with the most points, wins
