Launch Announcement on Social Media
Leading up to the launch, we teased out blurred product shots with a countdown message to build awareness and anticipation for the launch on May 1.
Direct Mail Promotion
Upon launch of the collection, we sent out personal thank you’s to all of our customers inviting them to check out the new collection online. We hand-signed and personalized each card and included a coupon for $5 bucks off anything on the site.
Promotions, Traffic Drivers and Misc. Social Post Samples
Social media was our core outlet for daily connections with our audience. We utilized Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to promote our clothing line, various promotions and blog series. Offering discounts on our ‘Merica tees around the Memorial Day and Independence Day holidays were particularly successful, we also promoted discounts on our Skully tees around Halloween in October and our Snapbacks over Christmas. In addition, we maintained three ongoing blog series on our site that highlighted local bands, breweries and instagram photographers. 10 Songs Out of Long Island You Should Hear, Long Island Six Pack and 10 Long Island Instagram Accounts You Should Follow all engaged the greater creative community on the Island and extended our reach into new social circles.
Sticker Pack
Our sticker pack included four new sticker designs plus our die-cut Stay Loose signature logo. Free sticker packs were included with all online orders and handed out at various events.
Packaging
Online orders were sent out in Stay Loose branded boxes with our web address shown prominently. Our hangtags were really cool—printed on super thick matte stock, the front displays our logo, web address and social handles, the reverse says “Thank you for supporting a local independent brand” with a silhouette of Long Island.
In-Store
For the second year in a row, Loman’s Outdoor Store in Babylon Village bought our collection and stocked it in their shop right on the main street of Babylon.
Festivals & Events
Events like the Great South Bay Music Festival in Patchogue afforded us the opportunity to create a physical weekend-long pop-up shop. We had a blast at these events meeting and talking with new people and cutting across the venue to check out bands playing at any of the three stages. It was a great place to discover new music and make new connections.
